The trusty support vehicle, which follows the riders with essential water and food supplies. Normally carrying two of the support team who also plan the route ahead, as well as providing qualified first aid cover.
A team of six RAF personnel commenced the challenge of cycling across America on 1 Apr in 15 days. The team rode from San Diego through California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas to the Gulf of Mexico. Riders rode between 120-160 Miles per day, in order to complete the 1800 mile challenge; they were confronted with challenging terrain and extremes of climatic conditions. The riders were assisted by four RAF support crew, who were responsible for; navigation, mechanical support, photography, food and hydration of the team.
